Maybe the showiest of all Hostas, with golden leaves that will lighten throughout the summer to a golden-white tone with a blue edge. "Hosta of the Year" variety. Hostas grow best in shady areas out of the direct sun, and are used to liven up shaded areas beneath trees. Plant in garden beds en masse as a ground cover, or in patio pots. Hostas thrive in moist, well drained soil which is slightly acidic. Keep the soil moist but not saturated.
