Leaves have unique green speckles in the large cream centers - a fun look for the garden or patio. Sport of Loyalist. Hostas grow best in shady areas out of the direct sun, and are used to liven up shaded areas beneath trees. Plant in garden beds en masse as a ground cover, or in patio pots. Hostas thrive in moist, well drained soil which is slightly acidic. Keep the soil moist but not saturated.
