Thick foliage with good garden vigor, 'Sugar and Cream' was a top performer at the Dallas Arboretum - a true test of how well a plant will do in HOT conditions. Hostas grow best in shady areas out of the direct sun, and are used to liven up shaded areas beneath trees. Plant in garden beds en masse as a ground cover, or in patio pots. Hostas thrive in moist, well drained soil which is slightly acidic. Keep the soil moist but not saturated.
