Frost-tender perennials grown for their attractive foliage and brilliant flower spikes in hues and combinations from reds, oranges, and whites to greens, yellows and pinks. They need plenty of water while they are growing actively and very sparingly when they are not. Plant sizes vary between 1 1/2' dwarfs to 30' giants. Outdoors, they should be planted in well-drained soil in sun or partial shade.
